Back to Home Page

CBS Evening News contacted Sara for a story about American children learning Chinese. Sara has had many private clients via Mandarin Kids, and has also taught for the Chinese Language School of Connecticut, the Chinese School of Southern Westchester, the China Institute in America, and the Berlitz Language Center. Sara connected CBS to students who were of non-Asian heritage, and ultimately the reporters decided to base their story at the Chinese Language School of Connecticut, including interviews with Sara's 4-year-old student Christopher. The story aired on national television on June 1, 2005, which was picked up by many television affiliates, radio stations and newspapers in both English and Chinese.
